1. What happens to my paper documents after they are scanned? All paper files are stored for up to 30 days after your electronic copies are delivered. This gives you the opportunity to review your compact-discs for accuracy. After this review period, the original file is either shredded or returned upon your request. |
2. Are the files guaranteed for accuracy?Absolutely – we take many precautionary measures to maintain the accuracy and integrity of your information. In the rare occurrence that an error is made, however, we will rescan or replace the defective media at no cost to you. Our 30 day review period, during which we store your paper file and an electronic back-up copy, ensures your satisfaction. |
3. Is it possible to take advantage of the volume discount if I don’t meet the qualifying amount of pages for this current transaction?Of course – you can take advantage of our bulk pricing by simply prepaying in advance for as many pages as you’d like. We will then deduct the number of pages you use from your prepaid credit after every transaction. |
4. Are there any setup fees or other associated costs not listed in your pricing section?PaperDrop Imaging has no setup fees or hidden costs. However, if you have a special request (i.e. full color scanning, additional CDs, extra index fields, etc.) or any questions related to pricing, please feel free to contact us. |
5. How do I give you the images for my custom CD?It's easy – just choose from our two convenient options:
|
6. Does the PaperDrop Pro™ system support audit trails?Yes! Our system was designed with your convenience in mind, allowing you to track user access of database records. PaperDrop Pro™ records user name, date, time, document name, and action taken, giving you increased control over your file system. |
7. Can I access my files outside of the office?Definitely – our services were built to support universal accessibility. Our genuine PaperDrop CDs can easily accompany you anywhere, allowing you to take whatever data you need wherever you go. The process is even more convenient for PaperDrop Pro™ users. Your secure login/password and an internet connection are all you need to access your entire database of files from any location in the world. |
8. Who decides what my files are named and how they are split-up/indexed?You do! Our order form lets you define the names of each file/subsection as they will appear on the CDs and the PaperDrop Pro™ system. You also dictate how your file is organized and distinguish between the content that will appear on your CD and those of your clients. |
9. How do I setup my search fields to locate files using the PaperDrop Pro™ system?Upon signing-up for PaperDrop Pro™ you will be asked to create several search fields that will help you locate files. All of your files that enter the PaperDrop Pro™ system will be assigned with those fields to facilitate faster file retrieval. |
10. In what format are my electronic documents stored? All scanned files are converted into Adobe Acrobat’s universal .pdf format. These file types require Adobe Acrobat Reader, the most popular document viewing platform in the world, for proper display. You can download the program, which Adobe provides free of charge, here: |
11. Do I need to install or purchase any special software or equipment? No, all you need is a computer with a functional CD-ROM drive to take advantage of our PaperDrop Basic™ service. Our point-and-click CDs are intuitive, easy to use, and require no additional software. Our PaperDrop Pro™ system only requires a computer and an active internet connection. We handle all of the coding, programming, maintenance, and technical issues associated with PaperDrop Pro™ over the web – the end result is a system that functions just like a normal webpage, making it incredibly simple and effortless to use.As a reminder, however, your computer must have Adobe Acrobat Reader to properly view files – Adobe provides this program free of charge. |
12. How are “skewed” images handled? We employ electronic jogging devices to properly align and straighten all documents before they are placed into our high-grade scanning machines. The PaperDrop Pro™ system will then automatically adjust any remaining “skewed” images. However, if you are unsatisfied with any image’s orientation during the review period, PaperDrop will rescan the page for you at no additional cost. |
13. Can color images be scanned or do you only support black & white documents? We can handle all your scanning needs including grey scale and full color images. Please inquire for additional pricing associated with full-color documents. |
